A thorough range of components and systems are examined to ensure your vehicle performs optimally and remains safe. This typically involves replacing the engine oil and oil filter, inspecting the air and fuel filters, and evaluating the brake system, including pads, discs, and fluid levels. The technician will also check the battery, assess tyre condition and pressure, and inspect the suspension and steering systems. Additional essential checks include the exhaust system, coolant levels, belts and hoses, lights, and windshield wipers. Furthermore, the service may include diagnostic tests to detect any potential issues with the engine or electronic systems. This detailed inspection helps maintain the vehicle’s dependability and prolongs its lifespan.
Please remember to bring your vehicle log book so the technician can stamp it after the service. Although not required, a service stamp in your log book for each visit can boost your car’s resale value and assure potential buyers that it has been well cared for. Additionally, if you are scheduling a full service, don’t forget to bring your locking wheel nut key so the technician can conduct a complete wheel-off brake inspection.
As a general rule of thumb it is recommended that your car receives a full service every 12,000 miles or every 12 months – whichever comes sooner.
More general check ups, such as our Engine Oil and Filter Change and Interim Servicing options, are also available to ensure your vehicle is kept in the best possible condition. We also provide manufacturer servicing for all major makes and models of vehicle using official manufacturer service schedules to determine when your next service is due and the type of service required.
Service Type | Service Interval |
---|---|
Interim Service | Every 6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever comes first) |
Full Service | Every 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) |
Manufacturer Service | As per manufacturer service schedule |

To determine when your MOT is due, you have several options. Firstly, you can refer to your most recent MOT certificate, which should indicate the date of your next MOT test. Some garages also provide windshield stickers displaying the next MOT due date for convenience. Alternatively, you can utilize online resources such as the official UK government website, GOV.UK MOT check, where you can input your vehicle’s registration number to retrieve the MOT due date.
Moreover, if you have a preferred garage for your MOT services, they may keep records and send reminders when it’s time for your next test. Staying informed about your MOT due date is essential to ensure your vehicle remains safe and roadworthy.
The MOT Test is an annual examination required by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), conducted to strict guidelines. It ensures your vehicle is safe for driving on public roads and fit for its intended purpose. During the MOT test, various safety features such as lights, tyres, seatbelts, suspension, and emissions are thoroughly inspected. Only garages approved by the DVSA and employing DVSA-approved vehicle examiners (MOT Testers) are authorized to conduct MOT tests.
Important: Ash Road Service Centre is a DVSA Approved Garage that offers you an MOT Test in Aldershot for your car, van or motorcycle.
While your car is being tested for its MOT, the tester will check to make sure it is safe to drive. It will pass the MOT Test if it is, and it will fail the test if it is not. It’s important to know that the MOT Test is not the same as getting your car serviced. The MOT test doesn’t check the car’s mechanical health or wear. It only checks to see if your car is in better shape and works better than a certain base level. Also, a MOT test doesn’t show how good a car is in general; it only looks at how it was on the day of the test.

To prolong the life span of your tyres it is advisable to rotate your tyre locations on a yearly basis.
Please note that if the puncture is within 1 inch of the tyres shoulder a repair can not be carried out as it is unlikely that the patch will adhere correctly
If you have experienced a puncture and the tyre has been driven whilst flat a puncture repair is unlikely to be carried out by the garage as this would have weakened the structure and integrity of the tyres side walls, on this occasion you will require a replacement tyre to be fitted for safety reasons (your garage will advise you accordingly)
Checking your tyres on a regular basis can save you hundreds of pounds in unnecessary repairs and incorrect fuel usage
If your water pump is driven by your cam belt then this cam belt has to be removed and therefore can not be replaced with any kind of warranty, so it is strongly advised that you have this replaced at the same time. Please choose our cam belt kit replacement option as this will include all the required items to complete the job correctly and maintain a full warranty
Warranty! is your vehicle still under its manufacturer warranty? Our services will NOT alter your warranty in any way as all products used meet and in some cases surpass the quality levels required
All products used are new and not remanufactured unless otherwise requested. All 3 main parts will be replaced ie: clutch friction plate, clutch cover and release bearing. Your garage will contact you if they believe there to be any issues with the flywheel before re-fitting the new clutch. Much of the process to change a clutch is relatively the same however there are a few standard steps. The garage will start by
If the garage find the condition of the existing flywheel to be an issue they will contact you with the required remedy and costs before proceeding, Please understand that if you do not wish to proceed with the garages recommendations this may alter the warranty of the new clutch supplied.
The clutch is usually made up of 3 parts 1.clutch plate. 2.clutch cover. 3.clutch release bearing put in to simple terms the clutch plate is basically a friction disc/plate that, when activated with the other two parts by depressing and releasing the clutch pedal, it presses and in return releases against the flywheel which in turn receives drive connecting it from the flywheel to the gearbox hence driving the vehicle.
Some models have a separate ADD Blue tank and some have a blister bag. Your garage will advise you accordingly (please note if your vehicle has the blister bag type these are considerably more expensive to change than quoted here)
Air Con re-gas is vehicle specific, there are currently 2 types used R134a / R1234yf (air con refrigerant), if in doubt please ask your garage or check in your vehicle’s manual to see which is the correct refrigerant gas for your vehicle. There should also be a sticker under the bonnet indicating the gas type required.

Your air con system builds up bacteria over time causing an odour within the cabin area, we strongly recommend you request a deep clean with each re-gas (ask your garage for details)
